ABOUT THE PERFORMANCE
Join Down Right Theatre for an in-depth Technical Acting Class designed to strengthen performance skills both onstage and behind the scenes. Led by experienced instructors Eileen and Scott Ross, this 10-class course explores the fundamentals of dialogue delivery, movement, stage presence, and directing techniques through hands-on instruction and practical exercises.
Dialogue:
phrasing, tune pattern, ascending/descending, scale, toward/away/over/under, changes, points, impulse, topping, pitch/volume, reacting
Movement:
standing, sitting, crossing, arc, entry/exit, doors, upstage/downstage, gestures, presenting, countering
Directing:
playing areas, rhythm/tone, blocking, toward/away/over/under, balance, beats, pacing, body placement, furniture, levels, business, necessary/imposed
Cost: $300
10 classes
2 hours per class
2 classes a week for 5 weeks
Tuesdays and Thursday from 7:30pm to 9:30pm
July 14 - August 13
Possible showcase on August 15th
